It is thought that the England Football Association is hoping to stage a lucrative friendly against Brazil in Doha in November this year. The match which is planned for 14th November would see top stars such as David Beckham, Kaka and Robinho performing in the Qatar capital.
The match is to be sponsored by Al Jazeera Sports Channel and organized by the Qatar FA.
Qatar Football Association general secretary Saud Al Mohannadi confirmed the match will take place as long as England have completed qualification for the 2010 World Cup by then.
